PRE-TEMPLATE/ FITTING CHECKLIST
For the fitting of the worktops to go as smoothly as possible please follow the guidelines below before the template/ fitter arrives on site.
PRIOR TO TEMPLATING
NOTE: Our work is bespoke based on the site template. Any work carried out after template such as plastering the walls or changing the location of cabinets, hobs, sinks and taps can affect the finished product. Thus, we reserve the right to charge for this to be rectified.
PRIOR TO FITTING
PRIOR TO TEMPLATING
- You or you representative must be on site on the day of templating to discuss with the templater any design or technical issues.
- Base units and end panels need to be positioned, correctly aligned, levelled up and fixed securely. All plastering work should be complete. The templater will advise if extra support is required before fitting. It will be your responsibility to ensure this is done before fitting.
- Sink and hob along with the manufactures templates and fitting instructions must be onsite. Appliances and taps must be disconnected and removed, but must be available for accurate positioning of cut-out’s.
- Existing or temporary worktops must be removed by the customer.
- All fixture information requiring holes in counters must be decided prior to the visit. This includes: shape required, size of overhangs, hot water dispenser, soap dispenser, cables, etc. The templater will be happy to advise on technical issues but cannot advise on design issues.
- Please note that the sink must be in position but not fixed in order for us to template. All cook tops & ranges must be unattached, pulled out and set to the side.

PRIOR TO FITTING
- You or you representative must be on site on the day of fitting to check the finished job and sign off as satisfactory. Also, any outstanding balance will need to be settled in full.
- Whilst we take every care to minimise the disruption during installation, the process will create some dust. We ask our clients to ensure that as practicable, doors to other parts of the house are kept closed, and to remove items of value in the installation area.
- Please note that should conditions be such that we are unable to complete templating or fitting in one visit there will be a charge.
- Pluming or reconnecting sink or hob will need to be carried out by your fitter. If we must carry out any work, there will be a charge.
